I need to share this…helps itchy lumps and bites

I really am chuffed with the SeaSource body Gelee and rejuvenating cream.

At the beginning of the summer heat, each year I get these annoying itchy hard lumps on my hands, especially on my knuckles. Every year I try all different kind of creams and I must say this combo has worked the best…

Apply a small amount of the Gelee cream, every time it starts to itch, keep re-applying 2-3 times until it stops. Then at night applied the rejuvenating cream which helps to heal the skin.

Works on mosquito bites too!

The world wide web is filled with controversial ingredient information?

Unfortunately the world wide web is filled with controversial information; not all sources of information are reliable and not all studies are conclusive, especially when using major search engines as primary sources of research.

It seems so many people are quick to judge and form inconclusive opinions when researching products. One can easy to get caught up in the ingredient details so it is important you have confidence not only in the products but also in the company that produces them.

There is a lot of negativity out their about certain ingredients and in some of the Arbonne products in particular. However it seems to be more of peoples “options” rather than actual facts, maybe from competitors?

Being new to this industry I was a little skeptical myself, but I now truly believe in what Arbonne stand for and trust in their products, mainly due to their response when I asked them straight out…

“At Arbonne we have 30 + researchers developed constantly looking into the safety of all their products and wil take immediate action if anything is unsafe! Arbonne evaluates the science and safety of all ingredients in an open and unbiased, and expert manner”

It is important to use reputable sources. Below are two sites that were recommended to me to use as a authoritative source of ingredient information.

Cosmetic ingredient review board
The CIRB was established in 1976 with the support of the US food and Drug administration and the consumer Federation of America

Personal Care Projects Council
The PCPC is the leading national trade association for the cosmetic and personal-care Industry.

In one of Arbonne products there is an ingredient they use called Butylene Glycol, a client asked why since it seems to have a bit of negative press. My answer was as follows, this is a reliable piece of information, so judge for your self….

Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol and Dipropylene Glycol are clear, practically colorless, liquids.

In cosmetics and personal care products, these ingredients are used in the formulation of hair and bath products, eye and facial makeup, fragrances, personal cleanliness products, and shaving and skin care products.

Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol and Dipropylene Glycol are used as solvents and viscosity decreasing agents in cosmetics and personal care products.

The safety of Butylene Glycol and related ingredients has been assessed by the (CIR) Expert Panel. The CIR Expert Panel evaluated the scientific data and concluded that Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol and Dipropylene Glycol are safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products. In 2004, the CIR Expert Panel considered available new data on Butylene Glycol and the related ingredients and reaffirmed the above conclusion. There were no reactions indicative of skin sensitization to these glycols in any skin sensitization assays and no suggestions of phototoxicity or photosensitization.

“Arbonne will take immediate action on any ingredient that is unsafe in any of its formulations when guided by the FDA, the CTFA and the CIR. In our normal course of business, we continue to research and develop the pure, safe, and beneficial products our Independent Consultants and Clients have enjoyed for more than 30 years.”

I hope this has helped any skeptics out there, enjoy researching and I highly recommend the Arbonne products, my skin has never been this good….maybe when I pluck up the courage I will share my before and after photos 🙂
