Week 9

pain-scale

Summary

Well, I want to say I feel fantastic, but I don’t.

I’ve been fighting a bug now for a few weeks and it kinda got me, (actually, in reality, it hasn’t I just feel crappy and I am so used to not feeling like this anymore).

Although feeling like this is a really good reminder, on how good I have been feeling since taking these molecules. It’s strange how our body/mind forgets the pain and we get used to being good. It has made me appreciative of all these days prior to how good I have been feeling.  I am so grateful for these molecules and I am really glad I decided to write this blog, ideally hoping to help other possibly wanting to take these molecules, but at the very least I am happy even if it is only for my own for my own benefit – a gentle reminder.

I think the reason I’ve been feeling so crappy (apart from fighting a bug) is that I have been going through lots of mini detoxes especially over the last 2 weeks, I especially notice it more if I don’t drink a lot of water. I know myself my body is extremely sensitive and does not heal well at all, and I can really see that these molecules have their work cut out!

Week 9

Friday 11 May
noFelt a niggling sore throat and woke up thinking I was getting a cold, had my molecules and I feel ok. My mind is back on alert but just body feels tired. Definitely, they are off defending my immune system I think. People at work are coming down with a cold /flu type illness so fingers crossed. I did take extra does of the beverage yesterday overnight to help.

It seems to have helped with my back though.  Mornings I usually struggle with my back being very stiff and have to stretch it or b4 I can do anything but lately since I have been using the gel (not on my back I must add) I haven’t had any back aches or pains in the morning.  Wonderful! !😃”

First week on redox signalling molecules

4 days ago a close friend of mine asked me to go to a presentation about a new health product that she thought I would benefit from.

I was a little intrigued but the main reason I went was that she was a friend and I’m so glad I did.

After hearing the testimonials of others that had been taking these molecules my level of curiosity heightened, I was actually moved by the stories I was hearing and just thought wow if this works how many people I could share it with and help with their daily suffering, and mine too.

I have suffered pain almost all my life since I was a young kid, I’ve been prodded and poked and roughly diagnosed with all sorts of issues, but nothing really that was fixable. My symptoms change from year to year and as I’m getting older other issues have crept in too. I suffer from what I think a lot of people do, symptoms involving digestive issues, inflammation, joint pain and general wear and tear, so on hearing about how this product had changed peoples lives, I could not say no, I have nothing to lose from it!

I’m mainly writing this for my future self to remember where I am at with my pain levels and to track the effects of these molecules I’m taking. I am a little skeptical but time will tell, and I just keep reading some many testimonials that I want to see it for myself.  I haven’t decided if I should do daily or weekly posts but watch this space for my report on how hopefully this will change my health…

Arbonne Essentials protein shakes

I decided to change my diet a little. The aim to reduce the amount of toxins in my body and to get more energy. I exercise and I eat relatively well but still seem to sluggish and tired. I also think that toxins in my body aren’t helping the old famous dimples we get especially on our legs! ( that’s for another post).

Recently I went to an Arbonne workshop and found out how much protein we actually need in our body. I was actually shocked. 1gram of protein for 1kg you weight! I assumed that protein is just for body builders and such like so it was a bit of an eye opener. We all need protein in our diet to build and even retain muscle mass, and we all know that muscle burns fat!

The Arbonne shakes are made from pea protein and also contain 20 vitamins and minerals and are only 670Kj per serve.

I’m using the Arbonne protein shakes which you can get from my online shop as a meal replacement – lunch in particular. Being gluten intolerant I can’t eat normal lunches such as sandwiches, so I tend to just eat a lot of cheese with rice crackers, which isn’t great. I occasionally still have salads but I wanted another option, so these shakes seem ideal. Plus I try to fit a lot in in my lunch break and making up crackers and salads etc is time consuming.

To say protein shakes are yummy, well they aren’t like your regularly full fat shakes or even fruit juices, but I actually don’t mind drinking them either.

My first thought of the Arbonne shake was, oh. Not really having anything to compare I suppose I was expecting your typical shake taste. I soon learnt to add ingredients to make them taste nicer. I’ve read reviews of people saying they are gluggy but I have not found that at all, personally you just adjust your ingredient to suit your taste buds. The “shaker cup” that you can buy from Arbonne has this cool metal whisk type spring that seems to prevent any non mixing of the substance, but they are best in the blender with ice crushed and berries mixed for a smoother consistency.

Personally I add items such as nuts, chai seed, frozen berries, almond milk to my shakes as a meal replacement and I am actually don’t mind them ( see photo below).

I’ve substituted my lunches for these shakes for a week now and I do feel more alert, I do get a bit peckish around 4pm so I have some nuts to nibble on. I will soon dig out the recipes to make protein bars using the protein powder, ideal to snack on!
